Rassie Erasmus has named 17 uncapped players in his first ever Springbok squad which also sees veteran Bismark du Plessis earn a recall.
Erasmus has blended experience with youth alongside five overseas based player with Faf de Klerk, Wille le Roux, Francois Steyn and Duane Vermeulen joining du Plessis to make up the overseas contingent.
Cheetahs players Ox Nche and Oupa Mohaoje make the squad after impressing in the Free States debut season in the Pro 14.
Erasmsus is expected to name a travelling squad for the Wales match this coming weekend in the USA and it is expected to be a relatively inexperienced squad.
The more regular Springbok players are expected to be left behind to prepare for the incoming series against England.
