Liverpool have completed yet another world record signing in Alisson Becker. The Brazil international finished his negotiations on Thursday, after Roma accepted a world record £67 million bid for the goalkeeper.
The world record fee comes after Liverpool finished a tumultuous season, in which goalkeeping errors played a large part in the inability to find tangible success in a very impressive season.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that the new acquisition, who had no goalkeeping error related goals conceded past him for Roma last season, will continue this form in the coming season.

Alisson has expressed his delight at joining the club telling the club website: “I’m really happy, it’s a dream come true to wear such a prestigious shirt for a club of this size that is used to always winning.”
The 25-year-old signed a long-term contract with the reds after passing his medical at Mellwood on Monday.
Klopp has previously said that he would not look to buy a new keeper this transfer window but explained his decision to Liverpoolfc.com saying: “At one point in the last few weeks it came up, the opportunity to sign one of the world’s best keepers- then its not a long thought, to be honest, its only that you need to have a little chat with the owners! They were quite excited, so we did it.”
Alisson will be joining Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xerdan Shaqiri as the new signings in the pre-season friendlies ahead of Liverpool’s first Premier League game against West Ham at home on 11 August.
