Gonzalo Higuain has officially joined AC Milan on a season long loan while Leonardo Bonucci have moved in the opposite direction to rejoin the Turin side.
Higuain’s loan will cost AC Milan £16 million which comes with the option to buy the 30-year-old striker at the end of the season. The Argentine scored 55 goals in 105 appearances for Juventus after his move from Napoli in 2016.
With Cristiano Ronaldo joining the Serie A champions, Higuain became surplus to requirements despite his prolific goal scoring record and AC Milan will hope that he brings a lot of goals along with his wealth of experience.
Meanwhile, Bonucci cost Juventus £31.50 million after selling him to Milan a year ago fro £37.80 million. The Italian defender made 51 appearances and will be partnering up aagin with Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini in what was a formidable trio.
Juventus will be looking to win an incredible eighth Serie A title in a row and with an attack spearheaded by the current Ballon d’Or holder, there is little doubt about the quality they possess.
AC Milan on the other hand will now have their sights set on the UEFA Europa League after the Court of Arbitration for Sport overulled the initial decision banning them from the tournament.
