Usman Kahaja struck a masterful century while Aaron Finch fell seven runs short (93) of the landmark as Australia claimed a 32 run victory over India in Ranchi on Friday 8 March.
It was a sensational start for the visitors as Finch and Khawaja put on a 193 run stand at the top of the order before Finch was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav.
Cameo performances from Glenn Maxwell (47), Marcus Stoinis (31) and Alex Carey (21) ensured that Australia posted a first innings score of 313.
In reply it was Virat Kholi who led the Indian chase as he struck a classy innings of 123 of 96 deliveries. Unfortunately for the Indian captain, none of his teammates could match his performance with Vijay Shankar he next highest scorer with just 32.
Pat Cummins, Jhye Richardson and Adam Zampa all took three wickets as they restricted India to 281 all out.
The win means that Australia are now 2-1 down in the series and will have the chance to draw level in the fourth ODI in Chandigarh on Sunday.
