KKR were sent into bat first. DC bowlers kept things relatively quiet until KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik and the inform orange cap holder Andre Russell came to bat. Karthik went to a brisk half-century from 36 balls but it was Russell who the main aggressor scoring 62 off only 28 balls.
In reply DC opener Prithvi Shaw was unfortunate to be dismissed on 99 when he tried to take on a short ball from Lockie Ferguson but was caught at short third man by Karthik. The match was still in DC favor when they needed 12 runs from 9 balls with 6 wickets in hand but could only manage to level the scores.
Turning Point:
DC managed to get 10 runs in their super over which never seemed enough for the inform KKR batsmen. Rabada, however, managed to execute 6 consecutive yorkers which included a 147kph yorker that smashed into Russell’s middle stump.

KKR managed just 7/1 after their super over to lose the match despite their well earned comeback.
