Former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will return to Stamford Bridge this summer as the sporting director following his retirement from the game.
Cech left Chelsea in 2015 after making over 300 appearances for the Blues and winning 16 trophies to join Arsenal where he has since made over 100 appearances for the Gunners and won the FA Cup.
Cech announced his retirement from the game earlier this season and it looks like he will now return to Chelsea and pick up the role of sporting director, a position that has been vacant since the departure of Michael Emenalo in November 2017.
Cheslea have been looking to bring back the golden era of players with John Terry and Frank Lampard also rumoured to be making returns in the near future.
Cech refused to confirm the appointment and instead said he is only focused on the Europa League Final with Arsenal next week.
Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before , I’ll make decision about my future after the last game . Now my sole focus is to win the EL with @Arsenal .
