Hollywoodbets Dolphins head coach Grant Morgan will officially leave South African shores as he takes up the role of assistant coach for the Scotland national team.
Morgan joined the Durban franchise three years ago where he made an immediate impact with the team showing notable improvement under his guide.
In the 2017/9 season, he led the side to the final of the Momentum One Day Cup where bad weather saw the Dolphins share the trophy with the Warriors before he repeated the feat a year later where he lost to a very strong Multiply Titans side.
“When I was offered the position to coach the Dolphins I could not say no,” he said. “To coach a big franchise side like the Dolphins was an honour and from my time at Inland I knew how much talent there was in the Dolphins set up.
“To have been able to work with these players for the past three seasons has been a privilege and I will stress that our Dolphins 50 over side is one of the best teams I have ever coached”
“I have grown immeasurably as a coach during my time here and have left with some great memories,” Morgan added.
Scotland currently sit in 14th place on the ICC ODI rankings behind the Netherlands.
