As a result of the financial implications of the COVID-19 pandemic, Burnley boss Sean Dyche could be on his way out with Aston Villa reportedly keen on the Clarets boss.
The mirror is reporting that Burnley would be willing to let Dyche walk for £10m in order to relieve some of the financial difficulties currently being experienced.
It is also reported that Dyche will take his backroom staff with him when he moves which could see a mass clear-out at Villa Park with Dean Smith and his staff all under threat.
In their , Villa have recorded just seven victories and four draws having lost 17 matches, conceding 56 goals in the process.
In comparison, Burnley have won 11 matches and drawn six. Interestingly enough, Burnley and Villa have scored the same amount of goals this season (34) but the key nature in the difference of success comes with the resolute Burnley defence which Dyche has managed to set up to concede 16 goals fewer than Villa who ave conceded the most goals in the league (56).
While Burnley are not known for their attractive style of football, under Dyche they have cemented themselves in the Premier League and now dream of bigger ambitions than just surviving relegation every season.
Villa will have a lot to do if the league returns to escape relegation, but if they manage to do so, their biggest improvement next season will have to be at the back and there are few better men to do the job than the rugged Sean Dyche.
